The architects responded to the surrounding landscape with a natural timber cladding that will be allowed to weather.
Aware that it is located on a prime scenic location, Laird Tran Architects were tasked with designing new golf club facilities for the Shire of Broome, which will be a drawcard for thousands of international visitors.
Located within 100 m of the Indian Ocean the facility required a durable, low-maintenance solution - which is why the architect used our Vulcan Cladding - Vertical Grain finished with a silicate coating.
Installed in September 2020, the Vulcan timber cladding came pre-finished with a silicate coating.
In order to cure and turn silver the silicate coating requires moisture and carbon dioxide, making the timing of installation perfect for the upcoming wet and humid summer conditions.
